Striking & Grappling Basics

Foundation for self-defense

The PlayDojo program lays a solid foundation for future martial arts training. At age 2-7, children should learn footwork, timing, core strength, blocking, basic striking, grappling basics, balance, fitness and coordination. Our goal is for students to continue their training as they reach teen and adult age.

Students Earn Stripes & Belts

Promotes achievement and hard work

Students start with white belt and earn stripes for trying their best each class. Stripes are always earned, not given. After the student earns 8 stripes, they'll earn a new PlayDojo belt and break a board. This is a fun time to celebrate your child's hard work and training.

Character + Growth Mindset

The most important part of playdojo

PlayDojo balances challenge and encouragement to build confidence, grit and personal achievement. Each class we also discuss a character trait from the bushido code such as honesty, kindness and compassion.
